Every year, the Eagle Initiative hosts approximately 100 foster children from Child Protective Services (CPS) for an annual Christmas dinner and program.  The children receive a visit from Santa along with gifts and the opportunity to spend a special night out during the holidays.

In the summer, the Eagle Initiative scholarships some school age children from local partner agencies such as Friends of Sundown, enabling them to enjoy a week of summer camp activities, including zip line, water trampoline, water slide, paddleboats, canoes, fishing and swimming. Children also receive lunch, a free T-shirt, face painting, sports games, and more. 

Also in the summer, the Eagle Initiative partners with Child Protective Services (CPS), Faith West and many private sponsors to host approximately 60 junior high and high school age children for a special Adoption Event at Lake West. Many of these children have lived in indescribable circumstances and tend to have a "hard heart." As a result, they have developed a tough outer shell, making it hard to see their true colors. Placing them in a more relaxed setting allows potential adoptive parents to see a different side of the children and increases their chances for adoption. This event has been has been very successful, leading to the adoption.
